This is the state inspector’s rule. Anything made outside of the church will be thrown out by the state inspector.

RAGBRAI Bake Sale

Cookies and Brownies:  The bake sale will coincide with the pasta bar, noon – 7 pm.  We will be selling individually wrapped cookies & brownies.  The cookies and brownies can be made at home, as long as they do not need to be refrigerated.  Please make sure if you signed up to make cookies or brownies that they are individually wrapped when you bring them into church.

Pies will also be sold as well.  The committee will determine if we will be selling by the slice, depending on the demand.  Remember, anyone who signed up to make a pie(s), make sure they do not have to be refrigerated.

CRISP School Supply Drive

Even though school is still in session, the CRISP office is gearing up for the school supplies drive for the 2019-2020 school year.

This year we are requesting cash donations versus actual school supplies.  This allows us to buy in bulk, provide more consistency in the backpacks and makes it easier for us due to our pending office relocation.  If you are interested in sponsoring a student, it costs an average of $40 per child to provide them with backpack and supplies for the school year.  However, donations in any amount are GREATLY appreciated.  All donations may be sent to CRISP, 110 W. Washington St. Winterset, IA 50273.

The CRISP office is also looking for additional volunteers to help with the school supply drive and other programs throughout the year.  If you are interested, please contact the CRISP office at 515-462-9400.

Welcome, Maddie!

Maddie Nelson, a master’s degree student at UNI, will be assisting Meisha with office duties throughout the summer. If you’re at the church, please stop by to meet Maddie and introduce yourself!   Summer office hours will be 9-12 Monday through Friday.

As part of Women’s Weekend, 1st Ave Collective (the old jail – located at 220 N 1st Street) is hosting a “Pastries on the Porch” event on Sunday, June 9th from 10-1.  Proceeds from the event benefit CRISP and Prevent Child Abuse Madison County.
