Apprentice Potluck | 5:30 on Sunday, October 6
Everyone is invited to food, fellowship, and forward planning for this year’s adult faith formation program. We’ll meet for a potluck meal at 5:30, and under the guidance of Brenda Hollingsworth, participate in a large group exercise to consider several different possibilities. Volunteer to help with GOD SQUAD
Please sign up to help on Wednesday evenings during God Squad. We need help in the kitchen to cook, serve & clean up afterwards AND general help during class and children’s choir. In an effort to keep costs down we are asking that the meals be donated as well as the time to cook & serve them. Please consider signing up TODAY. Just check the box for the evening you are interested in helping and the click on the button at the bottom of the page “SUBMIT AND SIGN UP” and the next page will allow to add your information. C.R.I.S.P. Nuts & Candy Fundraiser
C.R.I.S.P. relies on donations and fundraisers, such as this, to support ALL of their programs and operations, such as: School Supplies for Kids, Winter Wear for Kids and Christmas for Kids as well as assisting families facing crisis situations (homelessness, utility disconnect, food insecurity). A Note from the Stewardship Committee
As we begin the new Church year, it’s important to talk about Stewardship. The 3 principles of Stewardship are Time, Talent and Treasure. Here at St. Paul we do an amazing job dedicating our time and talent in a variety of ways. Greeters, Ushers, Communion Servers, Bread Makers, Sound System, Readers, Musicians, Choir, Blood Pressure/Blood Sugar Screenings, Kitchen Crew, God Squad, Sunday School, Lawn Care, Quilters and many other ways we serve, such as serving on various committees and Church Council.
Giving financially is also important and is sometimes more difficult, as we all have budgets in our daily lives. As we all contemplate filling out our Estimate of Giving cards this year, I would ask that you consider giving just a little bit more. I understand that some people will be able to give more and some people may have to give less than they have in the past. If, as a whole, we can give just 1% more than we have in the past it will help.
The Stewardship Committee is looking for ideas on fundraising projects that we can do throughout the year. If you have any thoughts or ideas, please share them with me, I promise you won’t have to join the committee if you don’t want to, however; if you do want to join we would love to have as many people as we can. Feel free to call, text or email me your thoughts and/or ideas. Remember, Stewardship is our way of giving thanks to God for all He provides to us by giving back to the Church.
